The Classroom Library Project

“A room without books is like a body without a soul.” – Cicero

This is how I felt when I finally stepped into my own ESL classroom in August, 2019.

At the beginning of the school year, our English Department hardly had any English books for our ESL learners. So, I decided to build a classroom library to promote reading and language learning in our Grade 7-11 ESL classes.

In order to help with the purchase of books, I decided to offer my ESL UNITS BUNDLE at 30% off instead of 20%. When somebody bought this resource, I used the money to fund our English department, so my colleagues and I could buy the books we needed for our students.

Thanks to all the teachers who purchased my ESL UNITS BUNDLE and the generous people who donated us books, I can now proudly share the great news with you. In less than three months, I was able to add over 200 different titles to our classroom library!

In addition, this school year, we are so lucky to have an amazing librarian who is planning to set up an entire section filled with English novels in the school library.

Please, do not hesitate to share your students’ favourite books in the comment section, so I can add them to my book list. If you wish to help me buy even more novels, click here to shop this resource:
